Website Design Process
STEP 1
Enquiry & Consultation
After submitting your enquiry form, we’ll schedule a time to discuss your business and project requirements. I’ll then prepare a customised proposal outlining the project scope, deliverables and pricing. Once approved, a deposit is required to secure your booking.
STEP 2
Planning & Design
We’ll begin by planning your website’s structure with a sitemap and navigation plan. You’ll receive my Website Copywriting Workbook to guide your content writing. From there, I’ll design a homepage mock-up aligned with your brand identity and overall website goals.
STEP 3
Website Development
Once the homepage design is approved, I’ll begin building your website on the Rocketspark platform. The homepage is developed first for approval before the remaining pages are created, ensuring everything feels cohesive and functional.
STEP 4
Testing & Launch
Before launch, I’ll complete functional testing and final checks to ensure everything is running smoothly across devices. I’ll then assist with your Rocketspark account setup, domain connection and preparing your website for launch.

How do I get started?
Start by filling in the Project Enquiry Form. Share a bit about your business and what you’re looking for, and I’ll be in touch within 1–2 business days to schedule a discovery call. It’s the perfect opportunity for us to discuss your project and see if we’re a good fit.
What do I need before my project starts?
All website content, including text and images, is required by the project start date. This allows us to hit the ground running and ensures your website is designed around your actual content. Having everything ready upfront also helps keep the project on schedule.
Do you provide copywriting
While I don't offer copywriting services, I provide a helpful copywriting workbook and guidance throughout the process to help you create website-ready content. If writing isn't your thing, I'm happy to recommend a professional copywriter.
Do you offer photography?
Professional photography can make a huge difference to the look and effectiveness of your website. I recommend working with a professional photographer who can help create a brief to ensure you get all the images you need.
If professional photography isn't within your budget, you can provide your own photos, and I'm happy to offer guidance on what types of images work best.
What website platform do you use?
I design websites using Rocketspark, a New Zealand-based website platform that is user-friendly, secure, and includes reliable hosting, built-in SEO tools, and local support.
I'll guide you through setting up your Rocketspark account and subscription. Plans currently start from NZD $49 + GST per month, with discounts available for annual payments.
Pricing is set by Rocketspark and may change over time.
Do I need website hosting?
No. Website hosting is included with your Rocketspark subscription, so there's no need to arrange separate hosting.
Do I need my own domain name?
Yes. A domain name is your website's address on the internet. If you don't already have one, you'll need to purchase it before your website goes live.
Domains can be purchased through providers such as Crazy Domains, GoDaddy, or directly through Rocketspark.
Can I update my website myself?
Yes. Rocketspark is designed to be user-friendly, making it easy to update text, images, blog posts, and other content yourself without needing any technical knowledge. If you need assistance in the future, support is available when required.
How long does a website project take?
Most website projects take between 6 and 8 weeks, depending on the size of the website, how quickly content is supplied, and the number of revisions required.
Is SEO included?
Yes. My Signature Website Package includes basic SEO setup, including page titles, meta descriptions, image alt tags, internal links, Google Analytics setup, and sitemap submission to Google Search Console.
I also provide guidance on improving your website's visibility and attracting the right visitors.

Do you offer payment plans?
Website projects are split into three payments:
40% deposit to secure your booking
40% midway through the project
20% before the website goes live
Do you offer support after my website goes live?
Yes. Rocketspark handles the technical maintenance, hosting, and security of your website. If you need help with content updates, additional pages, new features, or ongoing improvements, I'm happy to assist.
