A simple guide to launching your new brand: What to do first

You’ve invested time, energy, and resources into creating a new brand identity and now you’re ready to share it with the world. A thoughtful launch helps you build momentum, connect with your audience, and make the most of your hard work.

Here are a few simple, practical tips I recommend to clients when launching a new brand:

1. Set a launch day

You want your launch to run smoothly and reach as many people as possible. Choose a date that doesn’t fall on a weekend or public holiday, and if you already have a website or social media presence, review your analytics to identify when your audience is most active.

A clear date also helps you work backwards and plan your timeline, rather than rushing at the last minute.

2. Record your analytics

If you’re rebranding or introducing a new product within an existing business, it’s helpful to measure your launch performance.

Before you go live, record things like:

  • Daily website visitors or page views

  • Social media followers and engagement

  • Email subscribers

Then repeat this process after launch. It provides meaningful insight into what worked rather than relying on guesswork.

3. Create a rollout timeline

List all the places your new brand will appear. This may include:

  • Website

  • Social media

  • Email newsletter

  • Google Business Profile

  • Stationery and printed materials

  • Signage and apparel

Create a simple timeline outlining when each item will be updated. Have your brand files prepared and ready to go so the rollout feels organised.

If possible, reveal your brand over 1–2 weeks and aim to post regularly on social media during this time to keep up momentum.

4. Plan your launch messaging and graphics

Consistency is key. Create clear, engaging messages you can use across all platforms. You might use phrases such as:

  • “Get a sneak peek”

  • “Something new is coming”

  • “Be the first to see…”

Design graphics that:
✔ Introduce who you are
✔ Explain what you do
✔ Highlight your services
✔ Showcase your team (if relevant)

A few simple ideas include:

  • A launch countdown

  • Sneak-peek imagery

  • “Coming soon” pages on your website

  • Email announcements to existing clients

This helps build excitement before the launch, not just on the day itself.

5. Launch your brand 🎉

Once everything is prepared and aligned, it’s time to introduce your new brand to the world.

After launch, revisit your analytics and compare them with your pre-launch numbers. I recommend reviewing them again around 30 days after launch. This helps you understand your audience response and refine future marketing efforts.
